Good morning all, well we have been flat out at a Trade Show in Melbourne, man it was cold last night!!! We were lucky to have the first booth at the door, but atthe same time, we had the cold draft right on us, plenty of coffees were needed.

Suffice to say with that cold weather it certainly made out booth appealing to Melbournites looking for a holiday. The problem is there is no availability in Port Douglas. lol. A good problem, but its near impossible, and the lack of knowledge of accommodation operators are making life difficult for tourists to get a room. Very short sighted guys, Just a comment, 75 – 80% isnt that full! All Im saying is dont put so much presure on promoters and agents if you arnt manageing inventory to maximise yield. OK, my whing is done :-)

The interesting thing at the trade show last night was I put a flyer out about my ski trip, just to get a feel for interest, oddly enough, it grabbed by far the lions share of enquiry and was 3 times more expensive than any of the product we were promoting up North. Shows what Melbournites are really thinking in winter, and it wasnt a financial decision :-)

Anyway, till tommorrow,
